All you need to know about HABC Level 2 First Aid (Theoretical)

The Level 2 International Award in Emergency First Aid at Work is a qualification aimed at providing learners with the necessary knowledge, understanding and skills to support emergency first aid in the workplace. The qualification covers knowledge such as the roles and responsibilities of a first aider and how to assess and incident.

Highfield has introduced digital solutions that will enable you to complete your training and exams online, all from the safety of your home! All you need is a laptop/computer (with a camera), internet access and a mobile phone. This proposal is a short-term reasonable adjustment owing to the situation with the COVID-19 pandemic, to ensure that we enable learners to continue to learn and gain this life saving skill of First Aid, while in isolation and/or working from home.

Highfield’s level 2 first aid qualifications can be achieved through blended learning and remote assessment. Assessment process is by the multiple-choice knowledge exam which is conducted verbally through video conferencing, where the tutor/assessor will ask the questions to the learner verbally. The leaner can either answer directly or can make their own ABCD cards to be held up for the tutor.

In practical assessment process the tutor/assessor can assess the learner on the practical elements through video conferencing using the techniques such as - DRABCD ; Recovery Position ; Major control bleed ; Manage treatment for shock ; CPR ; Compression only ; Use of barrier devices ; Managing a choking casualty ; Safely use an AED .
